Before You Begin

  • You are using a computer rather than a mobile device.
  • The Zoom app is installed on your computer. If the Zoom app isn’t already on your computer, go to https://zoom.us/download to download and install it. 
  • The Zoom app is pinned to the Windows taskbar or Start screen.
  • You received an Instructor Briefing Form (IBF) listing the Zoom meeting information for your virtual training program.


Sign In To Your Communispond Zoom Account

There are two ways to sign into your Communispond Zoom account—the Zoom app and the Zoom website. To avoid confusing Zoom, you should sign in to your Communispond Zoom account on both the Zoom app and the Zoom website.


Sign In To The Zoom App

  1. Select the Zoom app icon on the Windows taskbar or Start screen.
  2. If you are signed in to a personal Zoom account, select the avatar in the upper right corner and select Sign Out.
  3. Enter the email address and password for your Communispond Zoom account listed in the IBF and select Sign In.

Signed In To The Zoom Website 

  1. Go to https://zoom.us/signin.
  2. If you are signed in to a personal Zoom account, select the avatar in the upper right corner and select Sign Out.
  3. Enter the email address and password for your Communispond Zoom account listed in the IBF and select Sign In.


Access Your Zoom Meeting

There are several methods to access your Zoom meeting. When you use any of these methods, Zoom will not ask for the meeting password. To avoid confusing Zoom, you should be signed in to your Communispond Zoom account on both the Zoom app and the Zoom website.

Method 1: Join from the Zoom App "Home" Screen

  1. In the Zoom app, on the Home screen, select the Join button.
  2. Enter the meeting ID from the IBF, change your name if desired, change the audio and video settings if desired, and select the Join button.

Method 2: Join from the Zoom App "Meetings" Screen

  1. In the Zoom app, at the bottom of the Home screen, select the Join icon, and select the Meetings icon.
  2. Mouse over the meeting you want to join and select Start.

Method 3: Join from the Zoom Website "Join a Meeting" Page

  1. Go to https://zoom.us/.
  2. In the upper-right corner, select Join a Meeting.
  3. Enter the meeting ID from the IBF and select the Join button.
  4. When prompted by your browser, select Open Zoom Meetings.

Method 4: Join from the Zoom Website "Meetings" Page

  1. Go to https://zoom.us/.
  2. In the upper-right corner, select My Account.
  3. On the Profile page, select Meetings.
  4. In the Upcoming Meetings tab, find the meeting you want to join and select Start.
  5. When prompted by your browser, select Open Zoom Meetings.

Method 5: Join from a Meeting Invitation

You can only use this method if you received or downloaded a Zoom meeting invitation.

  1. Open your calendar app.
  2. If necessary, navigate to the current day.
  3. Open the meeting.
  4. In the body of the meeting, select the Zoom meeting URL.
  5. When prompted by your browser, select Open Zoom Meetings.
